NAPLAN

NAPLAN are a set of assessments, or tests, which are held annually in the second full week of May. The assessments are held for all students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 across Australia.

NAPLAN is short for National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy. As the name suggests, the focus of the assessments is writing, reading, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and numeracy.

The results of the NAPLAN assessments are generally available in late August to September and provide both teachers and families with an idea of how students are progressing against the national curriculum.
